Modesto’s Redwood Cafe Makes Move To River Islands
It’s not unusual for a restaurant to move to a new location. But recently, Modesto’s landmark restaurant and wedding venue, The Redwood Cafe, has been physically picked up and moved to River Islands in Lathrop. All four buildings that make up the Redwood Café are now much closer to their permanent home site in Lathrop. In early June, the buildings journeyed across freeways and side streets and finally through River Islands until they reached their temporary drop location at Dell’Osso Family Farm.
Here, it will be safely stored while construction continues at Redwood Café’s permanent home within the Town Center. At this time, the cellar rooms— which will provide a fantastic experience for group dinners and special occasions—are being excavated and will soon be under construction.
