River Islands Celebrates Groundbreaking of Fourth K-8 School

River Islands breaks ground on its fourth K-8 school, opening Fall 2026. The new campus will serve 1,080 students and expand River Islands Academies. About 100 people attended the groundbreaking of the fourth K-8 school in the River Islands Academies. The new campus, which is planned for a Fall 2026 opening, will accommodate approximately 1080 students and be located just past River Islands High School at the end of Branton Avenue.

Hope and Heart at River Islands: Highlights from the 209 Heart & Stroke Walk

River Islands hosted the 209 Heart & Stroke Walk—celebrating survivors, community spirit, and a shared mission to build a healthier, heart-smart future. This past Saturday, Islander’s Field came alive with smiling faces and the sound of footsteps with a purpose. The American Heart Association’s 209 Heart & Stroke Walk was an inspiring day filled with community spirit, survivor celebrations, and hope for a healthier future. We are so proud to have hosted this event for the third year here at River Islands. We are so grateful to every survivor, family, team, and sponsor who made it possible. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier tomorrow!
